INITIAL RESCISSIONS OF HARMFUL EXECUTIVE ORDERS AND ACTIONS

The executive order issued by President Trump aims to restore common sense and eliminate what he describes as “radical” practices in the Federal Government. The order specifically targets policies related to “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI), which Trump claims have corrupted institutions by promoting a divisive and preferential hierarchy. He also criticizes previous administration orders that have endangered national security, overburdened businesses with regulation, and dissolved resources intended for the benefit of American citizens.

The order revokes several executive actions taken by the prior administration, including policies related to DEI ideology, climate extremism, and border management. Trump directs various government agencies to take immediate steps to reverse these actions, and calls upon the National Security Advisor to review National Security Memoranda issued since January 2021 for potential rescission. The order also emphasizes that it does not create any new rights or benefits enforceable at law, but rather aims to repair institutions and promote American prosperity.
