National Day of Remembrance of the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz, 2025

As the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau approaches, we remember the devastating impact of the Holocaust on individuals, communities, and the world at large. The brutal killings of over one million Jews, as well as people with disabilities, religious leaders, and others deemed undesirable by the Nazi regime, resulted in unimaginable suffering and loss.

To combat anti-Semitism’s enduring presence in the world, President Trump declares January 27, 2025, a National Day of Remembrance, urging Americans to observe this day through memorial services, ceremonies, and prayers honoring the victims of the Holocaust and the liberators who risked their lives to save them.
