The executive order establishes that the US will reevaluate its commitment to certain UN institutions due to their perceived drift from their original mission of promoting international peace and security. The order also includes provisions related to funding. The US will withhold its proportionate share of funding for the UN Regular Budget, specifically for the UNHRC, and will conduct a review of international organizations it funds or supports within 180 days to determine which ones are contrary to US interests. Additionally, the US will notify the UN Secretary General and other relevant parties that it will not fund UNRWA or pay claims to these organizations by 2025.
