According to the executive order, Jenner & Block LLP is a law firm that has “engaged in activities that undermine justice and the interests of the United States.” It has also been found guilty of discriminating against its employees based on race and other categories prohibited by civil rights laws. As such, this order requires agencies to take steps to suspend Jenner’s active security clearances, expeditiously cease providing goods or services provided for the benefit of the firm, and limit official access from Federal Government buildings to its employees. Additionally, agencies are directed to review any contracts with Jenner and to terminate them if necessary. The order also prohibits agencies from hiring employees of Jenner unless they receive a waiver from the head of the agency.
