Memorandum to Resolve the Backlog of SecurityClearances for Executive Office of the PresidentPersonnel

The Executive Office of the President has experienced a backlog in processing security clearances for individuals hired to work there, causing them to be ineligible for access to the White House complex and facilities due to the slow bureaucratic process.

By executive order, the President is granting interim Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearances to individuals on an interim basis, effective immediately, and allowing them to access necessary facilities and technology. The White House Counsel has been designated as the authority to supplement this list as needed and revoke interim clearances if necessary.
