On Inauguration Day and all subsequent days, the flag of the United States shall be flown at full-staff on all public buildings and grounds, military posts and naval stations, naval vessels, and in the District of Columbia. This directive applies to the White House and all federal facilities worldwide.
The flag will also be flown at full-staff at all US embassies, legations, consular offices, and other foreign facilities until 30 days after a certain date (not specified). After this 30-day period, it will be returned to half-staff in recognition of a former President.
