Honoring Jocelyn Nungaray

The executive order titled “Honoring Jocelyn Nungaray” was signed by President Trump in 2025 to commemorate the life of a 12-year old girl who was killed by two illegal immigrants from Venezuela. The order renames the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge near her home as the “Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge” and ensures that her memory is permanently commemorated therein. President Trump’s intention in issuing this executive order was to honor Jocelyn for her kindness and infectious zeal for life, and to show his support for her family and friends who loved her deeply.
